Michele Schofield has joined storyteller platform, Viddsee, as Senior Vice President, Commercial. Schofield will lead Viddsee's commercial and partnerships teams to deliver revenue growth, along with defining and executing business strategies. Tapping on her expertise, Viddsee strives to develop more premium short films, series and content from Asian filmmakers through its multi-platform network.

Sharing views on her new role, “It’s a most exciting time to join Viddsee as the appetite for Asian drama is at an all time high. I look forward to bringing impactful and engaging high-quality original stories to broadcast platforms and brands, tapping into the wealth of talent within the Viddsee creator community and driving continued growth at Viddsee.”

Prior to joining Viddsee, she was with One Animation for over four years, where she headed the content distribution for global content sales, worked across IP development, as well as strategy and content management across the company’s 20 YouTube channels, averaging 400 million views per month. She worked with One Animation’s own creative talent as well as independent creators to develop, option and acquire new IP which resulted in two new (yet-to-be-announced) series greenlights for the studio. Schofield also held head of content and marketing roles at A+E Networks Asia and Turner Entertainment Networks where she led content commissioning, acquisitions and scheduling for 15 linear pay TV channels covering factual, unscripted, drama, and kids, having launched at least 8 channels in the Asia region.

Alongside hiring Schofield, Viddsee will also be reshuffling its Management Team from 1 January 2023. Derek Tan will transition from Chief Commercial Officer to Chief Business Development Officer where he will oversee potential business segments including acquisitions, prospective partners and customers.

“I’m excited for this new shift in Viddsee as this will help us to further grow our business on a larger scale while maintaining what we do best - creating authentic stories. We hope to capture more opportunities through this reshuffling, and working with established brands and partners across different industries,” said Derek Tan.

Kenny Tan moves up as Vice President (VP) Studios where he has been instrumental in building up Viddsee Studios for the last 5 years. In his new role, he will oversee the IP and Production and the Creator Community team.
