25 April 2022, SINGAPORE - Korea’s oldest short film festival, Busan International Short Film Festival (BISFF), has selected five Viddsee Original Series to represent Singapore in their upcoming festival section, the Hub of Asia. The section, S-Dramas from Viddsee Originals spotlights stories from Singapore, made by filmmakers from Singapore and will be screened on 29 April 2022, 10am KST, live at the event and will showcase the first episodes of all five series as a preview.
Founded in 1980, the Busan International Short Film Festival launched with the aim of creating a film-making friendly environment and finding talented film professionals. In addition to the competition section, various sections have given audiences the chance to see short film trends from around the world, with this year’s festival theme, “Expanding Cinema” focusing on the changing nature of cinema.
The festival provides an opportunity for local filmmakers to have their works and talent exposed to a global audience at an international event. The selected filmmakers have been invited to attend the festival live in Busan, South Korea which will be held from 27 April to 2 May 2022.
